How do I schedule my session? The best way to schedule is to give us a call at the studio at 919.349.6512. We will go over any questions that you may have and match up calendars. Our schedule changes daily with new appointments  which can make it difficult to schedule via email. Standard packages require a 50% deposit to reserve your session and the remaining balance is due the day of the shoot. If your package is on special the full amount must be paid at the time of scheduling and is non-refundable.  

Which package do you recommend? Do I need a headshot or self branding session? Not sure which package is right for you? We can help! From traditional headshots to personal branding we have the expertise to help you put your best self out there. Yes, we have your website and Linked-In picture covered but we are here to think ahead and outside of the box to make the most of your time at the studio! Maybe you need content for ongoing marketing in press releases? General marketing materials and social media? Maybe the whole idea is intimidating but you know you need to break down and “just do it”. Whatever the case, using professional images in your posts will add a perceived value to your branding and marketing by looking like you are constantly investing.  Contact us for a complimentary phone consultation and to discuss you personal needs.

What is your rescheduling and refund policy? All deposits and payments are non- refundable. This guarantees that your reservation is held just for you as well as that we are only booking clients who are serious about showing up for their sessions. If for some reason you need to reschedule you have 30 days to do so without forfeiting your deposit. If you need to reschedule without a 7 day notice there is a $25 rescheduling fee that will be applied to your account. Any additional extensions will only be made with owner consideration and an extension fee may applied.

What payment methods do you accept? We accept cash, check, Visa, and MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Venmo and Cash App.  

Where are the sessions done? Most sessions traditionally take place at our main studio in Raleigh, North Carolina. We are also able to offer commercial and headshots sessions at your business or at a location of your choice. Additional fees may apply to on location shooting. 

When are you open? We are open Monday thru Friday and take our first appointment at 9am and our last at 3pm depending on session type.

What do I bring? The amount of changes you should bring depends on which package you select. We always advise to bring more than you think and then we can help with the final selections at the studio. Items to not forget would be shoes and jewelry as they help your "look" be more complete. 

Should I come early? Revolution Studios sets up appointments based on the studios availability with built in time for items like getting settled, administrative paperwork, etc... that won’t interfere with your shooting time. While we need you to be on time to your session please know that we book our appointments back to back so you may have to wait in our waiting area if we are not quite ready for you.

Do you offer hair and make-up services? Hair design and make-up artistry services are available for an additional fee to enhance your professional headshot session. Let's face it...we are not all experts in make-up or how to enhance our look while working against lights and flashes. Not to worry…we have experts that can help! Our stylists apply your make-up specific for a photo session to ensure your final product is WOW!!! Please plan on arriving to your session with clean and dry hair and face including no face lotion! It is ok to apply your normal hair products however our stylists reserve the right to reschedule should you not be “styling ready”".

Do you offer retouching services to your images AKA Photoshopping? Once you have made your final selections for final use we provide editing and enhancements to your images using photoshop. Our goal is not to change your appearance but to make it look as you are having your best day! Retouching tools are used to whiten teeth, remove blemishes, soften fine lines and wrinkles, lift the neck, trim the waistline or arms, etc... Have an insecurity? Let's just chat about it. From lighting and posing to the retouching side we will make sure you feel great about your headshot!

Can I snap a few with my camera? We DO NOT allow ANY personal photography during your session including but not limited to digital cameras, cell phone cameras and video. Violators will be asked to leave immediately and will forfeit ALL deposits, certificates, and coupons and may only reschedule with owners consideration.

What happens when I arrive for my session? When you show up to your session, we will take a few minutes to talk, look at the outfits you’ve brought, and quickly organize a shoot outline. The photographer will instruct posing and offer direction in facial expression. So leave any worries on "what to do" at home! If you have any inspirational pics you would like to share we are happy to take a look to better understand the look or feel you are trying to achieve! 

How do I select photos from my session? Headshot Photography Proofs are typically available the same business day for proofing and will be sent via an online web gallery for selections. Most final edits can be available within 2 business days. Expediting service available if needed.
